Camping

For the more adventurous vacationer, try spending the night under the starts at Fort Clinch State Park. Camping on Amelia Island lets you connect to the ocean and the island’s wildlife inhabitants in a way no other accommodations can. For those with RVs and trailers, you’ll find electrical and water hookups on the island as well, letting you enjoy peace and quiet without roughing it.
A part of the park system since 1935, Fort Clinch is one of the most well-preserved 19th century forts in the country. Although no battles were fought here, it was garrisoned during both the Civil and Spanish-American wars.
"Kelly Seahorse Ranch – Absolutely Wonderful. My fiancé and I wanted to go horseback riding on the beach the week of our wedding. It was so beautiful and relaxing, and was something that we will remember forever."
