The Amelia Island Williams House is an elegant Select Registry bed and breakfast located in the historic village of Fernandina Beach, Florida. Situated in a quiet neighborhood of beautiful Victorian homes, our inn is exquisite in its design and has been awarded the distinction of Historical Landmark.
Our luxurious B&B is comprised of three buildings with 10 guest rooms. The Williams House, circa 1856, an Antebellum Victorian mansion owned and occupied for over 100 years by the family of Marcellus and Emma Williams, offers five elegant guest rooms. The second building, Hearthstone House, circa 1880’s, is a frame vernacular building with Greek Revival influence and contains four classic guest suites. And lastly, the Carriage House, rebuilt in 2004 on the site of the original carriage house, offers one guest room. An ornately wrought iron fence topped with gold fleur-de-lis ushers guests into a mansion with a unique gingerbread design by famed New York architect Robert Sands Schuyler. Guests are greeted by sweeping verandas, lush gardens, beautiful moldings, massive pocket doors of heart pine and mahogany. Heart pine and mahogany floors and gorgeous hand-carved mantles surround original tiled fireplaces. Crystal chandeliers, stained glass windows, and beautiful furniture remind one of the 1800’s and life as it might have been for the Williams family.
Escape to Amelia Island Williams House for rest, relaxation, and plenty of pampering. Beautifully appointed guestrooms combine old-world attention to details with all the modern amenities, some with fireplaces, fresh baked cookies, whirlpool tubs and handmade bathe products are some of the extras you can expect here. A gourmet two course breakfast is served every morning in the dining room, and guests can also enjoy a social hour with wine each evening.

Beautiful B&B, circa 1856
The Williams House B&B, circa 1856 is a lovely house on a quiet street. The owner Veronica told us the fascinating history of the house. And how through the years it has been rebuilt to the lovely house it is now. Veronica has done much of the updating and her love for this is shown in every room. We were there only overnight to be at the jazz festival. It is centrally located and everything is close by, It’s a lovely area. The room we had was large and comfortable. Unfortunately we booked by accident the only room with its bathroom across the hall which was not a problem…. If you go, inquire as to en-suite bathroom…. Veronica served an amazing breakfast in the lovely dining room. I would high,y recommend this lovely B&B.
Best B&B experience
My wife and I recently visited the Williams House at Fernandina Beach FL and had a wonderful 3-day vacation. The Williams House is absolutely the best B&B I have stayed in throughout the world. Veronica made us feel very much at home and served unbelievable breakfast each morning. The house is conveniently located two blocks from downtown so walking everywhere is simply a pleasure. We really enjoyed spending both the mornings and evenings out on their delightful front porch. We cannot wait to return to see Veronica and family.
Go !!
We had a wonderful experience at Williams House. The owner and hostess, Veronica, was gracious, personable, and informative. Her breakfast servings were outstanding and the presentations exceptional. We had three meals and they were different (and delicious) each time. Bravo !! She also always has fresh homemade cookies available right inside the front door of the main house. They were excellent. She also sits out a couple bottles of wine every evening to sip in the main house sitting room and mingle with other guests. Or you can take it out to the porch swing !! The room was clean and well-appointed. The staff serviced the room while we were at breakfast, so we always came back to a made bed, with any trash emptied. The Williams House is well located and within easy walking distance to the historic district. Many shops and restaraunts to choose from. Right across the street is the First Love microbrewery and besides good beer, they have outstanding pizza! Highly recommended. We will be back !!!
Exquisite Time Capsule
This place was amazing! As soon as I entered the house I was at an all. The wood work on the stairs, the furniture the layout of it all took me back in time. We stayed in the Egmont Indigo Suite and it was spacious and the bed was super comfy!! Loved our fireplace!! Veronica, was amazing!! She made us the best breakfast every morning. Five star breakfast!! Oh, I can’t forget the location of the house. Walking distance to downtown. I highly recommend!!!
A+ Old Mansion B & B in downtown Fernandina Beach, FL
This is our second trip to this wonderful B & B and we highly recommend it. The house is a charming old mansion surrounded by large mature trees yet the location is only a few steps from downtown. The hostess and owner, Veronica, couldn’t be nicer and cooks & servers the most delicious breakfasts each morning on an elegant table set with china. She also makes cookies each evening which we had a hard time staying away from. The bedrooms and baths are roomy enough and comfortable, and the beds are very comfortable. It is very evident that a lot of love goes into keeping this old house and B & B running smoothly. We give it an A+.
