Less than expected
During our recent visit to downtown Fernandina Beach, we happened upon this welcome center location. The exterior is nicely put together, in what appears to be an old railroad depot building. However, the inside seemed a bit awkward in its layout. It had more of a museum "don't touch" feel than a place for travelers. There was one bonus. Public restrooms on the property. Not many shops downtown offer their restrooms to their customers these days.

Always a Good 1st Stop
Usually hit the welcome centers for some literature and local knowledge.Volunteers offer helpful advice about dining and local attractions.

Very friendly folk to help out with info of the area. SO nice to have a large bathhouse set up for restrooms open even when office was not, clean, big - smart for a tourist area!!
