Let's just say the breakfast staff and Demin represent what's missing in the service industry today: Good customer service. Demin checked me in. I presented a concern to which he responded kindly and even called his manager to advise him rather than give me erroneous information. He even offered ice cream one evening during our stay when we realized the restaurant was closing. The breakfast staff offers fare with a smile. Carol, if I remember correctly, and A Truly exceptional Staff member( mature women with glasses and short haircut, who worked alone one day) worked to replenish the buffet quickly. They both noticed my appreciation cheese and ham. Thanks ladies.
The hotel was clean. It already has some wear and tear. The couch in our room could use a steam cleaning.
Housekeeping did well by not entering our room and giving us fresh towels upon request.
Overall, nice stay. Soft beds. Clean smelling sheets...even the stored ones.
The hotel offers everything you need, from restuarants, bar, pool, mini-store, even an electric charge station, so you don't have to leave the property. A gas station is across the street.
One issue: The hotel installed an access controlled key system that allows those with room keys to gain entrance into the side doors and use of the elevator. However, anyone could gain entrance using the door on the very back of the hotel. It remained that way for our entire stay.
Great hotel of this caliber
This is the nicest hotel of this caliber (Residence Inn, Springhill Suites, comparable Hilton brands) that I’ve stayed in. The hotel is in an excellent location, is less than three years old, and feels new. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and well appointed. Staff was consistently first rate and the breakfast was very good.
My only criticism is the $15 daily parking fee. Otherwise, I’d recommend this hotel highly.
Beautiful, clean, modern hotel with friendly staff
We stayed here just overnight as a stop on our way to South Florida. The hotel was beautiful, clean and modern. The front desk staff was very friendly, professional and kind.
The room itself was comfortable and well designed. The extra long bench to store luggage was a nice touch.
The pool area was beautiful as well. We enjoyed relaxing on the comfortable sofas with a drink from the poolside bar while our children enjoyed the pool. We would absolutely stay here again!
Birthday & Beach Family Reunion
From Denim who checked me in so professionally, to David and Tiffany with whom I worked for the banquet and catering services, to Miss Carol and the twins who hosted us at breakfast every morning, to Chef Mike and Chef James Brown for the excellent food (especially the fried chicken) to Mr. Greg, who was always maintaining the building, Austin who served great food and drinks at the bar, Ashley who helped us during my grandpa's 90th birthday party itself, and even Jessica who checked me out and made sure that my parking costs were correct--I cannot speak more highly of the Courtyard/Springhill Suites Amelia Island! My family gave me major props for choosing the hotel praising its staff, condition, and location! It was a reunion/celebration for the ages, and I am glad that we held it here. Bravo!!!
Great location for a family getaway
Location is a short, 2 minute walk from the beach and has a beautiful pool area. Pool bar and grill had a good food selection to accommodate the diverse tastes of our family of 6 for poolside dining, and the kids really liked the brisket tacos. Suites were clean and spacious. I needed to do some work during the days and the desk area was perfect; sectioned off from the rest of the room with reliable, fast internet access for video conferencing. Front desk and other staff were kind and responsive. Free breakfast was fairly standard, but good, including waffle and omelet stations. Would definitely consider returning!
