B184. We meet again ❤️❤️❤️

B184. Here we meet again. The owner renovated the condo. Love this corner location on the top floor. So quiet. Full view of the ocean from the balcony soothes my soul. Love to hear the waves crashing to the shore. As other viewers have mentioned updates vary greatly. If you want an updated unit this one is worth the wait. ❤️❤️. Until we meet again!

Weeklong stay in April

We stayed for a week to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in a one-bedroom condo. The views were AMAZING and we could hear the waves at all times. There was a lot of work going on around the condo so it was a bit noisy at times. Elevator was quick and always worked well. Trash cans around the property were often over-flowing and the foot wash/shower next to building B by the pool was out of service the last few days we were there. Property was very clean and the beach was very clean. Parking was never an issue. Landscaping was well-maintained. Boardwalks were clean and in good repair.

Great view and setting but condos vary greatly

We stayed in B-143 - the 4th floor- the view was great but the condo definitely needed updating. The walk to the beach was terrific and the pools were nice. The staff ranged from one excellent employee to one “needs improvement “ employee. However it was a good value.

Great Condominium Complex on Beautiful Beach

Stayed at Amelia Surf & Racquet Club in a “1BR Ocean View” condo via a VRBO booking and would definitely return. Please Note: Definable 1st and probably 2nd floor condo’s do not have any views of the ocean because they are blocked by the sand dunes.
The COMPLEX: The complex is gated and sits right on the beach with beach access and 2 Pools. Elevator available. Well
maintained grounds. The property is not within walking distance of the downtown area.
The BEACH: Beautiful clean beach area with Umbrella and Beach Chair rental available for a fee (Must be pre-booked. Service not located on the beach for walk-ups.) No alcohol or glass allowed on the beach. We saw a Gopher Tortoise; an Armadillo and other lizards in the dunes.

Amelia Island flop and vrbo

Since February we have been scheduled through to be at the Amelia Island Surf and Racquet Club form March 27 to April 3. Unfortunately, under the current COVID-19 crisis, my physician told me on March 17 that travel was dangerous for me. We told AISRC this and they took information and indicated based on my situation, to watch for a code in my email to provide to VRBO for a refund. No code appeared and on March 24 they indicated I would need a letter from my physician to receive the refund of over $2800. On March 26, the letter was provided. Within two hours they came back indicating a refund wouldn't be given as had been indicated, but I had until next March 27 to use the facility. Under the circumstances of my age and condition, the loss of $2800 is considerable and there is no quarantee I will be able to make the trip with in one year. I find that with so many resorts closing there doors totally during this period and refunding funds paid for rental agreements, the policy of AISRC is unconscionable. Our daughter had set up a similar booking at a different location through AirBNB and when she contacted them, she received her money back within 24 hours. VRBO took no stance in this situation, other than referring us back to AISRC. I would suggest anyone using VRBO and/or Amelia Island Surf and Racquet Club think twice about the transaction.
