Amelia Island, Florida

Come Make Memories

Outdoor Activities

That big things come in small packages has never been truer than on Amelia Island.  This tiny barrier island packs a big punch for visitors who want to get outside and enjoy the best of Florida’s natural beauty and sunny weather.  From golf and tennis at world-class resorts, to kayaking, sunset sails and horseback riding on the beach, Amelia knows how to keep even the most ambitious visitor happily busy.

With the island’s natural outdoor beauty as a constant companion, visitors can bike along glorious tree-lined paths at Fort Clinch State Park, paddle shady backwaters in search of manatees, or comb pristine beaches in search of seashells.  For something a little different, cruise by Mother Nature on a Segway tour at Amelia Island Plantation or Eco-Motion Tours.

Ask any golfer who has made the trip, and they will tell you that Amelia Island’s first-class golf courses offer plenty to get excited about.  The island is riddled with 117 holes of great golf, and is home to a variety of golf schools, oceanfront links, and a PGA tournament course.  Amelia is also one of the few places in the nation where visitors can ride horseback on the beach.  Kelly’s Seahorse Ranch offers this unique opportunity four times per day, six days a week.
