The one food group that everyone can agree on is — you guessed it — pizza! And why not? Even the pickiest of eaters enjoy this flattened disk of bread dough topped with meats, veggies (sometimes fruit) and covered with gooey cheesy goodness. Yep, pizza is a staple in many households for at least one night per week and some folks I know could eat it every night of the week (no names mentioned)! Lucky for you we have quite a few pizza joints and restaurants to choose from. Check them out here and then go try them all!
Arte Pizza — A local favorite just off Centre Street, Arte Pizza makes delicious wood-fired pizzas the authentic Neapolitan way with a crispy crust, tasty sauce, and large chopped tomatoes. They also have great sandwiches and salads.
Ciao Italian Eatery — Located right on Centre Street, Ciao Italian Eatery is casual but maybe for a fancier night out. Not only do they have pizza but they also have some of the best pasta dishes and cocktails around. “Come home to Ciao, where the pizza crust is crispy thin, and the pasta tastes like nonna’s.”
First Love Brewing — Your perfect date night awaits. First Love is a microbrewery with lots of beer choices, delicious chicken wings, handhelds, sports on TV, and pizza you will love. If you like a little spice, try the Hot Honey pizza made with with pepperoni, imported Calabrian chili and finished with a honey drizzle to balance the heat.
The Loop — For an easygoing spot that is popular with the entire family, The Loop is a great choice for lunch or dinner offering a variety of wood-fired pizzas, burgers, fries, milkshakes, and more. Choose from an 8″ or 12″ pie with cauliflower and gluten-free crust available.
Ops Pizza Kitchen & Cafe — For an extensive menu chock full of many Italian delights, Ops is a delightfully authentic choice. Located on the corner of 8th Street and Sadler Road, Ops provides indoor and outdoor seating in a nice family atmosphere. Try the specialty Buffalo pizza with a side of ranch dressing. SO good!
Moon River Pizza — Moon River has been making Amelia Islanders happy for over 15 years with the same great food, service and atmosphere. If you’re looking for a casual, laid back night out that won’t break the bank, Moon River won’t disappoint.
Townies Pizzeria and Deli — Eat in, take it out, or have it delivered but just make sure you go to Townies. All pizza sauce and dough is made from scratch using the finest ingredients and fresh local produce right from their farm next door! With awesome staff and service, they put the fun in funky.
The Sandbar & Kitchen — Amelia Island’s only true restaurant that is located directly on the beach and has oceanfront dining where you can put your toes in the sand. In addition to great seafood entrees, they also have really good pizza. Kids will love this place.
V Pizza — Located a block from the beach, V Pizza serves up authentic Neoplitan pizza using imported equipment and ingredients from Italy. Their specialties include wood-fire baked chicken wings, V-Stromboli, Neopolitan Pizza and Italian gelato. Yum!
Natural Slice — Located within the Shops of Omni Amelia Island, this surf-inspired pizza joint and shop not only has specialty pizzas and create-your-own options, they also have an array of surf-inspired merchandise including T-shirts, shorts, swimwear and accessories. One stop shopping!
