Check out these live music venues on Amelia Island that will not only feed your soul, they’ll quench your thirst and fill your belly, too.
Popular with visitors and locals alike, the Green Turtle Tavern is an easy going, laid back bar where you can hear great live music, enjoy a cold beer, and sip on some of the best bourbon selections on the island. Sit on the porch or under the starts, it’s always poppin’ at the Turtle!
PJD’s Beer and Wine Garden is an iconic downtown watering hole where the owner, Pajama Dave (because he only wears pajamas), not only pours your drinks, but can also tell you all about the history of Amelia Island. PJD’s has both indoor and outdoor bar areas, sarcastic signs, bar snacks, and live music on weekends.
Known as the “last bar to close on the eve of prohibition”, The Palace Saloon is the oldest operating bar in the state of Florida. It is the best place to enjoy a cocktail (like their signature rum-infused Pirates Punch), listen to live music, and create Amelia Island memories.
Locals Cocktail Lounge/Sadler Ranch offers a rustic western-style interior with a great staff, spacious dance floor and seating areas with regularly held live performances. If you need to take a quick breather, head out to the patio with more seating. Like to line dance? This is your spot. Locals Cocktail Lounge is right next door.
Hidden away next to the Amelia Tavern in downtown Fernandina is a fun little spot where you can get away from it all. The Alley, Amelia Island Brewing Company’s taproom, welcomes you in like family and keeps you relaxed and entertained with live music, trivia nights, delicious bar bites, and really good beer.
Located near downtown Fernandina in an old 1950’s car dealership, Mocama is a great place to hash out a business deal, vent to a friend, listen to music, or just enjoy an ice cold lager, porter, stout, pilsner, IPA, ale or glass of wine. With is mid-century modern vibe, it’s undeniably super cool inside, too.
Being called to the Principal’s office was enough to illicit fear and angst in even the worst of students. However, this Principals’ Office is one you will look forward to. Located in the lobby of the historic Amelia Schoolhouse Inn, belly up to the Principal’s Office Bar and enjoy one of their many signature drinks or head out to the patio for live music from 5-8pm, Thursday’s – Saturday’s.
Way back in the early 80’s, an old fish camp was remodeled into a restaurant Down Under the bridge. Dine on iconic southern seafood entrees with an ice cold beer or cocktail outside on the oversized deck and listen to live music while the sun sets. Great selfie and photo op spot!
Salt Life offers a wide array of specialty menu items including poke bowls, fried shrimp, authentic street tacos and yummy burgers. Sit outside on the deck or upstairs on the rooftop where the ocean views are as spectacular as the music wafting around in the Sea Salty air.
The Boat House is a relaxed, family-friendly restaurant where you can dine on salads, shrimp nachos and steaks in a playful environment with live entertainment outside on the patio, which is exactly where you should sit. Sip on a glass of wine or one of their signature cocktails and get up and boogie.
Enjoy indoor/outdoor dining featuring fresh local seafood, burgers, house made spring rolls, oysters just about any way you want them, and a selection of craft beers and cocktails. Salty Pelican overlooks the beautiful Amelia River and is always hoppin’ on weekends with live music to kick your weekend into gear.
Sandbar Amelia Island sits directly on Main Beach with unobstructed views of the ocean and boasts the largest whiskey and bourbon selection in Florida! Put your toes in the sand and listen to great music while the ocean breezes take you away… Oh, they have really great food, too.
Sliders Seaside Grill is the perfect place for multi-generational parties. With a gorgeous ocean view, a can’t-miss tiki bar, children’s outdoor playground, and live music on weekends, there’s something for every age at Slider’s.
The Patio at 5th and Ash was created for long chats with good company and good music. With an eclectic menu of seafood, chicken and pasta dishes, this patio is a place you will frequent again and again.
Marché Burette, located at The Shops Of Omni Amelia Island, is a market and deli where you can dine, or shop for unique gifts, wine and groceries. Check out their popular Steak Out held Friday – Sunday nights… home of the famous 36-ounce bone-in ribeye! Live music and libations add to the fun.
Just over the bridge from Amelia Island, Shuckers Oyster Bar is the place to be for fresh seafood, and live music Thursdays through Saturdays starting at 6 p.m. Grab a drink, kick back by a firepit, and enjoy sea salty breezes, magical sunsets, and everything that makes Florida a great place to be.

Whether it’s opera, jazz, folk or rock, Story & Song provides an intimate setting to hear some super talented folks.
