Welcome to Amelia Island’s funkiest and frendliest bar. Located in the heart of the historic district, the Green Turtle Tavern offers great hand-crafted cocktails using fresh local fruit and ingredients from their garden. Live music on the front porch, mojito’s, frozen strawberry margarita’s, eclectic beers and a great bourbon selection!
Pull up a bar stool and post up alongside shrimp boat captains, tycoons, authors, hippies, pirates, chefs, and the ocasional celebrity. This is where the locals hang out.
Cheap beer! Good music!
We grabbed a couple of cheap beers, sat outside and listened to some music on a nice fall afternoon. Nothing fancy. Having an outside bathroom was a good idea! The place looks totally different after dark, much louder and busier. We did not stop there in the evenings.
Stay away from local garbage
Watered down drinks, dirty bathrooms, and terrible service. Very rude. Locals who won't be back and will actively turn people away from this place.
Great time
We were walking around and heard the live music so we stopped in. We sat outside and had a great time. Crowd was fun with a mix of locals and tourists. Music was good and drinks were reasonably priced.
Great Tavern!
Mark and Lindsey were excellent bar tenders. Friendly, helpful, and made good drinks. I would strongly recomend The Green Turtle to anyone who stops off in Fernandina Beach. Tell them Jeff and Peggy say hi.
Good Vibrations & Libations!
Love the atmosphere, workers, and prices. Great rum punch!! We were surprised with Turtle Jam. Even though it was loud, it was great to sit further away behind Florida House Inn.
