Fall is the perfect time to explore Amelia Island, where the locals have been keeping things spirited for centuries! Home to Florida's oldest saloon and a modern-day distillery, meet some of our island's local watering holes and their lively "spirits" for an unforgettable fall getaway.

Amelia Tavern Restaurant and Brew Pub

The Amelia Tavern is the only wholly operational craft brewery in Fernandina Beach. Think Ale, Stout, Porter, IPA, and more. They also prepare a mean cocktail and have wine on tap.

The Principal's Office Bar

Belly up to the Principal’s Office Bar, located in the lobby of the historic Amelia Schoolhouse Inn, and enjoy one of their many signature drinks. I hear The Principal’s Rita is worth going to the office for.

The Decantery

The island’s premier wine, craft beer and cocktail lounge… literally. Enjoy delicious wine on tap, desserts & charcuterie while lounging around on comfy couches in a cool historic building.

Falcon’s Nest

Fly into the Omni Amelia Island Plantation’s aviation-themed pub where you can watch the big game, sip on a frosty cold beer, and check out some really cool airplane memorabilia.

Green Turtle Tavern

Popular with visitors and locals alike, the Green Turtle Tavern is an easy going, laid back bar where you can hear great music and enjoy a cold beer and one of the best bourbon selections on the island.

The Lobby Bar

The premier gathering spot inside the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island where visitors can sip a signature Smoked Old Fashioned and selection of handcrafted drinks in a relaxed, yet refined ambiance.

Marlin & Barrel Distillery

Take a tour and enjoy a sample at Amelia’s own Craft Distillery handcrafting rum, vodka, gin and cello. Discover YOUR Spirit at Marlin & Barrel Distillery located in historic downtown Fernandina.

The Palace Saloon

Known as the “last bar to close on the eve of prohibition”, The Palace is the oldest operating bar in the state of Florida. Their signature rum-infused Pirates Punch will have you singing along with the ghost of Uncle Charlie that supposedly haunts the place.

PJD’s Beer & Wine Garden

A quaint downtown courtyard bar with a super fun laid back vibe and an incredible beer selection.

The Mermaid Bar

Located inside the Florida House Inn, the Mermaid Bar features local beers, boutique wines, and handcrafted cocktails… like their signature Mermaid Slap made with some juices, various rums, and a couple of other things thrown in. Yum!

Sliders Seaside Grill

Fernandina’s only oceanfront Tiki Bar where you can “swing and sip” on a fresh squeezed signature Orange, Grapefruit, or Citrus Crush all while overlooking the Atlantic ocean.
