Each spring, historic Fernandina Beach transforms into a storyteller’s paradise during the Fernandina Beach Songwriters Festival. Talented songwriters from across the country take center stage at intimate downtown venues like The Pavilion, Tigre Island Room, and Heymann Williams Listening Room.
Audiences appreciate the uniquely personal concerts paired with really good music.

March 3 – June 13, 2026
Renowned for its artistic excellence, the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival brings internationally acclaimed musicians to the island from spring to early summer. Performances range from traditional chamber music to innovative collaborations, all presented in various settings around the island.
A highlight of the season features a special evening with Emmylou Harris and Friends, an unforgettable night blending a Grammy-award-winning legend with world-class musicianship.
Why go? It’s a chance to experience globally respected artists without the big-city concert crowds.

Shinn Dig is a free, community-driven music festival created by local artist Andria Shinn and featuring original music, live performances, and local talent. Held in the Tigre Island Room in downtown Fernandina Beach, this event runs from late morning to late night with a lineup of songwriters and musicians performing throughout the day.
With its relaxed vibe and strong local following, Shinn Dig is a true reflection of Amelia Island’s music community.
Why go? Twelve straight hours of live, original music. Come for an hour or stay all day.

The 5th Amelia Island Opera season, Postcards from the Stage, features Divas of Old Hollywood (April 18-19), and Trouble in Tahiti & Il Signor Bruschino (May 22). These are the last two performances of the 2026 season, and both promise to be spectacular.
Founded by three opera singers, Amelia Island Opera was created to provide opportunities for themselves and other world-class emerging artists, inspired by Amelia Island’s strong community support for arts and culture.

First Fridays April 3 – October 2 (No July Concert)Centre Street
Nothing says spring quite like free outdoor concerts in historic downtown Fernandina Beach. Sounds on Centre takes over a block of Centre Street on the first Friday of every month, inviting visitors and locals to get their dancin’ shoes on and boogie!
Expect a mix of genres, a family-friendly atmosphere, and plenty of nearby restaurants and bars to keep the night going.
Why go? It’s one of the easiest (and most fun) ways to experience Amelia Island’s music scene.
