Amelia Island recently partnered with Garden & Gun to host a delicious event not soon to be forgotten. Garden & Gun, At The Explorer’s Table was held at Walker’s Landing, Omni Amelia Island Resort, where breathtaking views of the salt marsh and Intracoastal waterway set the perfect scene for a sophisticated evening celebrating the island’s rich cultural heritage. Once home to Indigenous communities, explorers, and even pirates, Amelia Island/Walker’s Landing seemed the perfect location/backdrop for the event. Guests mingled beneath the iconic live oaks during cocktail hour, enjoying the natural beauty of the venue.
Following cocktails, five talented local chefs curated a tasting menu that showcased the island’s diverse influences. Each dish reflected the international flavors of Amelia Island’s storied past, symbolized by the Isle of the Eight Flags, with cuisine from Spanish, French, Mexican, and English traditions. The amazing culinary team featured Nathalie Wu of Wicked Bao, Omar Collazo and Verousche McKibbin of Omni Amelia Island Resort, Okan Kizilbayir of The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, and Chad Livingston of Burlingame.
Paired with fine wines, the dinner offered guests an exquisite journey through the island’s unique history and global flavors, making the evening a truly unforgettable experience for all.
