December 30th
TaxSlayer Bowl
Mississippi State meets Louisville at EverBank Field on December 30th at noon.  Louisville will be staying at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation for game weekend - why not bring your family and fellow fans and join them on Amelia Island?

Wild Amelia Junior Naturalists and Discover This Co. celebrate the arrival of the Right Whales off our coast with the creation of a life size Right Whale out of sea shells at Main Beach. 

December 31st 
Lighted Shrimp Drop
Come down to the harborfront in beautiful (festively lit) Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach when Light Up Amelia and Florida Public Utilities welcome in the New Year with a fun free family event. Enjoy vendors, food, kids games, live music, dancing, fireworks and much more, from 5-9pm.  The shrimp drops at 7pm, midnight Greenwich Mean Time.

New Year's Eve Black and White Gala 
Welcome the New Year with style as The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island celebrates the Sixth Annual with luxurious food buffets including a seafood ice bar, sushi station, living salad station, antipasti and appetizers. This is North Florida’s most elegant and entertaining New Year’s Eve Party. You will enjoy cooking stations serving seared scallops, lobster, lamb loin, braised short ribs and a scrumptious display of desserts. Dance all night with live music from Papa Sol and enjoy an open bar and fireworks with a champagne toast. Black & White attire is encouraged. Masks are provided or you can bring your own. Reservations required.  $250 per adult includes service charge.

Locals Cocktail Lounge New Year's Eve Party
Live music on the patio under the stars, DJ Johnny Oz in the lounge with dance and top 40, complimentary party favors, champagne toast and at midnight and the biggest balloon drop the island has ever seen at this mid-island night spot.  No cover charge, come early to enjoy the atmosphere.
