Dinner under the Oaks

The Verandah restaurant is considered one of the island’s finest restaurants and for good reason. It’s located in a beautiful oak-canopied spot in Racquet Park at the Omni Resort. You can dine on house-made pasta and fresh local seafood with a coastal Mediterranean influence. The Verandah offers flavors of the local Atlantic Ocean and neighboring farmers directly to your plate.

INSIDER TIP: The Local Grouper entree with Blue Crab Crust and a Sea Salt Potato is oh so good.

Nightcap

After dinner, head over to Oceanside to enjoy a delicious nightcap, featuring a thoughtfully crafted drink menu designed by the Omni’s talented chefs and mixologists. Soak in the beautiful view of the ocean and tap your toes to live music on Friday and Saturday nights. This is the perfect spot to end your first day.

Breakfast with the Chickens

Let’s get fueled up before a morning on the links! Enjoy a delicious breakfast at Bantam & Biddy where the Fried Chicken and Cheddar Waffle is waiting to be smothered in homemade bourbon-pecan syrup. Or, dive into the Banana Bread Waffle, baked with pecans and a ripe banana. If you don’t feel like something that heavy, then opt for the chocolate banana protein smoothie and a side of toast. It’s all good here.

Morning Golf

Salt marsh creeks and moss-laden live oaks give Oak Marsh it’s name and believe me, it is as stunning as it is challenging. It’s a classic Pete Dye course with tight fairways, and seemingly tiny greens. Take a moment when going to hole #9 to look at the trees while the marsh comes into view – perfect for a memorable morning round.

After a morning on the greens, it’s time to trade golf shoes for plush robes and head to The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Amelia Island for some well-deserved pampering. Whether you choose a soothing massage, rejuvenating facial, or one of their signature treatments infused with coastal elements, you’ll leave feeling refreshed and ready for the next adventure. It’s the ultimate way to unwind, catch up with your besties, and let the island’s calming vibe sink in.

Amelia River Golf

Playing a round at Amelia River Club is like taking a walk through nature and also playing some golf. This course is breathtaking and renowned as one of the best conditioned courses in the area. With smooth TifEagle greens, sculpted around a forest of majestic live oaks, sabal palms, southern pines and wax myrtles, you’ll probably take as many pictures as you do putts.

After your round, grab some lunch at Amelia River Club’s Gallery Bar & Grill. Quesadillas, fried shrimp, specialty sandwiches, and salads are just a few things on the menu and they’re all tasty!

Shop? Beach? You Decide!

Whether your group is in the mood to hit the shops or soak up the sun, Amelia Island has the perfect options for a laid-back afternoon. Some of your friends may choose to stroll the charming streets of downtown Fernandina Beach, where local boutiques, galleries, and coastal gift shops offer one-of-a-kind finds and perfect souvenirs. Others might prefer to unwind beachside, toes in the sand, savoring the salty breeze and maybe even spotting dolphins along the shore.

Whether you’re shopping for treasures or simply relaxing by the waves, it’s a chance for everyone to spend the afternoon their way before meeting back up for dinner.

Dinner and Bowling

Enjoy a farewell dinner at Cafe Karibo where the decor is as eclectic as the menu. Located downtown, Cafe Karibo offers entrees from land and sea in a funky casual atmosphere. Dine inside or outside on the patio. Either way, you’ll leave full and happy.

INSIDER TIP: Try the Blackened Fresh Mahi Fillets topped with a Crab Cake and Tropical Fruit Salsa. You’ll thank me later.

After dinner, head next door to Duck Pinz for miniature bowling that’s way too much fun. The duck pinz balls are smaller with no holes and the lanes and pins are shorter. Also, did I mention that there’s a craft cocktail and bourbon bar upstairs overlooking the alley’s?

What a way to end your trip!
