For the ultimate escape, get the guys together and come to Amelia Island to play. Whether it's a golf trip, a reunion of college friends, a bachelor weekend, or just a short break, Amelia Island has everything you need for a great time and for great stories.

DAY ONE

GET ACCLIMATED

STAY

Check into the Seaside Amelia Inn, your home away from home for the next three days -just steps from the beach and centrally located to all island activities. Want a luxurious resort getaway? Book a stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island or Omni Amelia Island Resort where golf, dining and other amenities are right at your fingertips.

OCEAN VIEWS AND COLD BREWS

Let’s get this weekend started with lunch at Salt Life Food Shack located just across the street from the Seaside Amelia Inn. Dine on an eclectic menu with a wide variety of options including oysters on the half shell, fried Grouper basket, classic burgers, and authentic street tacos just to name a few. Wet your whistle with a frosty cold Salt Life beer or deliciously spicy orange jalapeno margarita.
Insider Tip: Ask to sit upstairs on the rooftop deck where the ocean views are nothing short of spectacular.

ROLLIN’ ROLLIN’ ROLLIN’

Amelia Island is a sightseer’s paradise and Rollin’ Phat Scooters are the most exciting mode of transportation to explore everything that Amelia Island has to offer. Make your way downtown to the streets of the historic district and on to the marina for a view of the Amelia River. Catch up on your Civil War history with a ride through Fort Clinch State Park. For as little as $30/hour, experience ultimate freedom and hit the streets of Amelia Island on an easy-to-ride Rollin’ Phat scooter.

BUEN PROVECHO!

Specializing in traditional flavors from Spain and Portugal, España Restaurant & Tapas is a 2018 Diner’s Choice Award Winner and a favorite with locals and visitors alike. Featuring just-caught local seafood, an array of hot and cold tapas and the traditional Spanish paella, leaving hungry is not an option. The always homemade sangria, crusty bread, and desserts are made with love from family recipes and are so authentically good. Dine in the cozy main dining room or outside on the patio overlooking the garden.

DAY TWO

A DAY OF ADVENTURES

GET FUELED UP

With fast friendly service, a downhome atmosphere and mounds of food, the Beach Diner has been serving up hearty breakfasts for over 20 years and is the perfect spot to begin day two. House favorites include omelettes, eggs benedict, pancakes, and breakfast sandwiches. And… what is it about diner coffee that tastes so good? A mug of good hot coffee and a glass of Florida orange juice and you’re ready to go!
Insider Tip: The Eggs Benedict on lump crab cake is outstanding.

HIT THE LINKS OR KISS THE SKY?

With 99 holes of unparalleled golf it’s time to hit the links and the CHOICE OF COURSE is yours. From undulating greens, marsh front holes and oak-lined fairways, the links of Amelia Island offer irresistible play for golfers of every skill level. Feeling a little more adventurous? Take a TANDEM SKYDIVE over beautiful Amelia Island where you'll take to the sky securely attached to an experienced United States Parachute Association-qualified instructor for an exhilarating skydive with a 120 miles per hour free-fall!
Side note: Make sure to take photos and enter them in our Memories Contest for your chance to WIN A PRIZE. October’s theme is Golf!

THE HAPPIEST TOMATO

Located in Fernandina's downtown, historic district, The Happy Tomato features mouthwatering barbeque, fresh salads, and deli sandwiches all in a relaxing outdoor atmosphere. Chef/Owner, Richard Bolton, offers creative menu items developed from many years at top resorts and restaurants. Go on. You’ve worked up an appetite.

PUB CRAWLING

To find the best artisan cocktails and get a fun take on local Amelia Island history, take a MIXOLOGY TASTING TOUR. This tour takes you to several local downtown watering holes to meet the fun and creative people behind the bars and hear about the art and craft of mixing cocktails while finding out about each bar's history. If you like to listen to acoustic music and enjoy a good beer selection, try the local favorite GREEN TURTLE TAVERN and get seats on the wrap-around porch (and don't miss the special outdoor ping-pong setup.). Or, visit Fernandina Beach's new microbrewery, First Love Brewing, offering 20 rotating taps, indoor/outdoor seating and delicious signature pizzas.

DAY THREE

A DAY ON THE WATER

GAS OR GRITS?

Located in a former gas station, T-Ray's Burger Station was named one of USA Today's 51 Best Burger Joints in the US.  They also happen to serve up a pretty delicious southern breakfast. Make your way over to T-Ray’s and order a Kitchen Sink Omelette. It’ll be just what you need to kickstart your day.

GET OUT ON THE WATER

Hop on a jet ski, RENT A PONTOON BOAT, or take a KAYAK EXCURSION or MARSH TOUR, it's all possible and customizable for you and your friends.  If you want to cast a line, check out some of the Island's legendary FISHING CHARTERS. Or try out surfing or Stand Up Paddleboarding, lessons and equipment  rentals are available. This is where great stories and memories are made.

LUNCH ON THE LANAI

Located at the Amelia Island Yacht Basin, Kitchen 251 specializes in down home food with a cajun twist and offers up amazing waterfront views. Dine on local wild caught shrimp, Po’ Boys, or the always delicious Fried Green Tomato BLT on Texas Toast. All in an open-air atmosphere.

HIT THE BEACH

Amelia Island’s entire 13-mile length along the Atlantic coastline is open for running, walking, shelling or just relaxing. It’s kinda what we’re known for. Take a dip in the ocean and ride the waves. It’s the ultimate relaxation. Here are our five favorite beach spots

 DINNER WITH THE CAPTAIN

End your trip at Captain Jack's Smokehouse, an old-fashioned southern BBQ joint specializing in beef brisket, juicy steaks, and St. Louis ribs, plus a lot of other really good stuff like pimento cheese and pork rinds, Lexington red slaw, Charlie's bourbon burger, and Ms. Kim's chicken salad. Knock it all down with a glass of sweet iced tea, a cold beer or a cocktail featuring local Marlin & Barrel spirits. Dine inside or outside overlooking the beautiful marshes of Amelia. A great ending to a great weekend with great guys.
