If you’re looking for an Amelia Island dining experience that turns dinner into an occasion, look no further than AAA Four Diamond David’s Restaurant & Lounge, located on Ash Street in historic downtown Fernandina Beach. This upscale fine dining establishment offers an elegant atmosphere, attentive service, extensive wine list, and a menu full of creative surprises.
Prior to dinner, why not come a little early and settle yourself in the roomy lounge for a glass of wine or cocktail — or make happy hour the occasion itself. Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the lounge serves specially priced cocktails, wines and small bites, including ceviche, Colombian empanadas and oxtail dishes. However, this restaurant is so good, you’re gonna want to stay for a full dinner.
Led by Executive Chef and Owner David Echeverri, David’s takes fine dining beyond the traditional steak-and-seafood experience. The menu blends familiar favorites with the elements – ice, wind, fire, and water – to add an adventurous side to ordering.
So, what’s for dinner? Start things off with Kaluga Caviar, Wagyu Beef Carpaccio or a classic French Onion Soup before moving on to the main event. Steak lovers can sink their forks into a perfectly prepared Ribeye or Filet Mignon — and if you’re feeling extra indulgent, make that filet Oscar Style with Maine lobster tail, béarnaise and grilled asparagus. Yes, please!
Prefer something from the sea? The Chilean Sea Bass is served with truffle Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, and citrus beurre blanc, while the Seafood Gnocchi Bouillabaisse brings together fresh fish, mussels, shrimp, and lobster in a flavorful coconut broth.
Whether you’re celebrating something special, planning a romantic date night or simply believe vacation deserves a fabulous dinner, David’s delivers an experience worth savoring.
Visit them at 802 Ash Street.
