Thanksgiving Day meal with pricy uninspired food and unhappy waitstaff

We went as a group for a family Thanksgiving Day meal. We had high expectations after reading the reviews and viewing the fixed 3 course menu for $89.95 per person. Our experience started off with our waiter telling us he was unhappy about having to work Thanksgiving. The mandatory tip of 20% based on the size of our party seemed to be in play as several of the wait staff seemed abrupt in their replies to our questions.
We all enjoyed our salads. The artistic plating efforts limited the amount of food shown on the menu for the entrees. The sweet potato and cranberry sauce were more of a dash of color then a serving of food on the Thanksgiving meal entrée plate. The mushrooms on the ravioli plate were woody and I have had better filet mignon. The small size of the tarts for dessert were accentuated by the huge plates they were served on. Since we were seated at a back wall with a long table and bench, the constant removal of every plate before the party was finished with that course was disrupting. It felt like the staff was trying to rush us through the meal but then we sat waiting on the next course. Overall, it was one of my least favorite Thanksgiving day meals. To take liberties with a Churchill quote : "Never have so many gotten so little for so much."

We will not be going back. Total disappointment and value was not there.

What a disappointment! We went to David's for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a prix fixe menu with 4 or 5 choices in each of 3 courses. The 2 rolls delivered were dry & bland. My husband's Caesar salad was mediocre at best. The beet salad was good. For the main course, I ordered the (traditional) turkey dinner. The turkey was a thick, perfectly round slice, which I thought might be pressed meat. It bore no resemblance to roast turkey. The stuffing was good but sparse, maybe a l/4-cup scoop. A smear of
sweet potato covered by green beans & gravy completed the plate. My husband loves fish & ordered the Chilean sea bass, which was delivered on a lukewarm plate that soon cooled to the point that he could only eat about 2/3 of the serving, as cold fish doesn't work. The waiter seemed unconcerned with our still laden plates as he removed them. Dessert was a choice of 3 "pies," except they were round, tart-like pastries, the crust of which required a knife to cut. To top it off we were seated by a back door...which required knocking to gain entrance & waiting in front of our table to be seated. At just short of $300, we were not satisfied.

Awesome thanksgiving dinner

Only decent restaurant open for thanksgiving!
Bar is nice, restaurant is beautiful and well appointed. Staff were plentiful which is such a different feeling given most places struggle with staffing.
The menu was price fixed with several choices for a 3 course meal.
The Turkey special was dry and not very flavorful with a heavy flavor of sage which was a bit too much!
We really enjoyed our time at David’s and thanks to all the staff who gave up their holiday so that we could enjoy ours!

AVERAGE AT BEST

Restaurant was nicely decorated . Noise level very comfortable. Service OK. Food was not hot. Wine list extremely lacking. Was expecting much better.
