Words can’t express how perfect our experience was at Salt. The manager Phil went above and beyond to make my birthday dinner so incredibly special. He was able to quickly pivot when we accidentally booked at another restaurant at the Ritz. Phil and the waitstaff made our experience 5 star. The tasting menu was delicious. We have high standards in dining and this was one of our favorite evenings and restaurants. We will return and recommend to our friends. Thank you Phil and team we can’t wait to return.
Superb Upscale Continental Cuisine in an Elegant Room
Salt is an exquisite dining experience in the ground floor of the Ritz. The long rectangular room’s elegance is defined by mahogany walls and dim lighting. The table settings are stunning glass art dishes and other pieces. The candle appeared to be a hunk of Himalayan pink salt, another play on the name. We dined twice during the Labor Day weekend. One night was a prix fixe ($150 per person). The begin with a wonderful amuse bouche and fresh bread service with 3 different and changing salt selections in a dish on the table. I’ll provide my grades for each item. Caesar salad, B-: tagliatelle pasta, A; salmon on grits, B+; baklava with creme fraiche ice cream, A; blueberry pastry with blueberry ice cream, B+: , cappuccino, B+; blackberry smoke cocktail, B-; Our other dinner was a la crate. Pasta basket w/ crab; A+; salmon & asparagus; A+; bottle of Schmitz Riesling, A; chocolate mousse, A; Cappuccino, A. Excellent meals, almost uniformly excellent. Service was outstanding and friendly.
Incredible Dining Experience
Service goes over and beyond here! Couple that with an amazing menu and voila, you have perfection! Phil is one the most approachable GM’s I’ve ever met. You can tell he and his staff enjoy what they do. Matt and Brantley took care of us during our dinner. We brought our daughter ages 8 & 10. Matt made it extra special bc he told my 8 yr old you can turn the potatoes pink, when you mix the pink salt in it! She loved that. And Brantley heard my daughter was an aspiring chef, so she asked if we would like a kitchen tour! We of course said yes and we were extremely impressed by this and how nice all the staff were in the back. My kids loved that we took them to a fine dining restaurant and the staff made it extra special for them. We also loved the view from the table and the ambiance in the lounge/bar area with classical guitar playing. INCREDIBLE dining experience and we highly recommend.
Magical experience!
What a once in a lifetime dining experience! My husband and I had a wonderful time at dinner. The view cannot be beat, and the food was impeccable - from our pasta / snapper / octopus apps, to wagu entree and baklava / soufflé desserts. Our server, Olga, was just the best and made sure our evening was magical. Thank you, salt team!!

Another fine dining experience here at SALT with a Special Birthday celebration this time with a beautiful table over looking the beach.
OLGA was our server who was on point with her service, great personality, knowledgeable about the menu and specials.
Very nice to have the restaurant manager PHIL HUBER come over to check on our dinner and our mini birthday party.
Cudos goes to Pastry Chef BRENDA who also had time to come out to greet us who baked an awesome and delicious carrot Birthday cake!!! THANK YOU to you and your team!!!
The apps we ordered were tasty, unique, satisfying and hitting the spot. Two orders of Fresh cold oysters, the pasta Tagliatelle, and i had the snapper.
The four entrees were absolutely delish!!! Two perfectly grilled filets for the ladies, a nice size Dover Sole fillet, for Dad and I had the Lamb Loin which was grilled to a nice medium rare perfection. Our entrees were paired with delight with one of our favorites Chardonnay, Far Niente.
Overall, fine dining at its best, great wine list, superb service, and attractive ambiance in the shadows of the Ritz-Carlton!!!
