For many folks, summer vacation conjures up memories of fun family time together. For others, it is a memory of summer camp complete with kayaking, swimming, storytelling, and new friends. Why not come to Amelia Island this summer and combine the two into an “Amelia Island Campcation”?  Day camp offers youngsters a chance to participate in a wide variety of sports, arts, tech, and nature activities, and is ideal for younger campers who perhaps are not yet ready for an overnight camp experience.

Nature & Kayak Camps

Amelia Island Kids Adventure Camp — Amelia Adventures. Kids ages 9-12 learn kayak and paddleboarding skills or go on a nature boat tour finding dolphin on the Amelia River and wild horses along the Cumberland Island National Seashore.

Amelia Island Kayak Excursions Teen & Kids’ Kayak Camp — Fun, professional guides are there to teach and share with the “next generation of kayakers” a sense of adventure and wonder for kayaking and the outdoors. Ages 7-16

Fitness/Sports Camps

YMCA Summer Adventure Camp — Each week at day camp, a new theme will help campers discover new skills, build self-confidence and feel a sense of achievement and belonging. Camp activities include arts and humanities, sports, swimming and plenty of outdoor play. June 1-Aug 2, Ages 5-12.

Cliff Drysdale Tennis Camps — Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa. With 10 weekly sessions available, kids ages 5-14 will have the opportunity to work with professional coaches to improve their skills in tennis, team sports and swimming. The perfect blend of learning and fun, complete with games and special events. 

Fernandina Beach Youth Soccer Camp — CZ Soccer Academy is offering a half-day camp teaching soccer skills in a fun & safe environment. Experienced staff will demonstrate essential techniques and offer kids the opportunity to be more confident with the ball. Held at The Journey Church and Sports Complex. June 15-19, 2026 – Ages 6-13.

Paisley Grace Makery Summer Camps — This summer camp is jam-packed with art projects that will not only bring out your child’s creativity but will give them projects they’ll be able to use and display for years to come! Sign up for either June 8-11 or June 29-July 2. Or both!

Amelia Community Theatre Acting and Comedy Camp — Lights, camera, action! A future star may be born with these acting camps for ages 7-17, with end-of-camp performances. Ages 7-11, June 22-26 – 101 Dalmations Musical; Ages 12-17, June 29 – July 10 – The Addams Family Musical; Ages 13-18, July 13-17 – Comedy Camp.

Amelia Island Museum of History Summer Camp — Held June 8-12, 2026, get ready for a thrilling adventure into the world of espionage at this year’s Summer Camp! Young agents ages 7–12 will embark on exciting missions and put their teamwork and creativity to the test in a week filled with action, imagination, and fun.

Ms. Shannon’s Summer Camps — Offering 18 summer camps for ages 3-12 years old, Ms. Shannon’s Summer Camps are week-long camps filled with fun educational activities.

Royal Amelia Dance Academy Summer Camps — Packed with creativity, movement, and fun, campers will spend their days creating an original show inspired by a popular musical, movie, or trend while exploring dance, music, and art through engaging daily classes, all while working in age-specific groups that encourage learning, confidence, and teamwork. Kids work in appropriate age groups (4-12, 6-14) and will receive a dance-themed T-shirt!

Amelia Art Studios Summer Camps – Camp at Amelia Art Studio is all about kids living their best creative lives—screen-free, fully engaged, and deeply immersed in imagination, exploration, and art-making. Camps are typically held in June and are divided into two age groups (3-12, 12-19).

Resort Camps

Educational hand-on fun is what you’ll find at these two resorts on the island’s south.

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa — Camp Amelia gives guests ages 5–10 a way to create lifelong memories with an award-winning recreation department through crafts and adventures. Campers must be potty-trained. Camp Amelia is 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Camp Amelia is available to guests of Omni Amelia Island Resort and The Villas of Amelia Island and Amelia Island Club members.

The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island — Ritz Kids introduces young guests to the island’s natural wonders through a variety of hands-on adventures for kids ages 4-12. The supervised program entertains kids with educational games and activities featuring different themes throughout the week. Pick a session: Full day, Morning, or Afternoon.
