If you’re craving bold flavors, colorful decor, and tasty margaritas to match, make your way to Cantina Louie, located just over the bridge on Amelia Island. This local favorite has earned a loyal following thanks to its fresh take on Mexican street food, fun atmosphere, and a great outdoor deck!
Let’s taco ’bout the menu for a minute. Start with the house-made guacamole or queso before digging into their famous Mexican street tacos, loaded burritos, cheesy quesadillas, or sizzling fajitas. Fan favorites include the Chimi Chimi Bang Bang taco, Birria Quesadilla filled with pork and cheese, and the Fajita Burrito stuffed with chicken, steak, shrimp, bell pepper and onion. Wow! Are you hungry yet? With plenty of fresh ingredients and creative combinations, it’s hard to go wrong with anything on the menu.
Of course, no visit is complete without something to sip. Cantina Louie serves an impressive lineup of margaritas, from classic lime to fruity seasonal flavors like Spicy Watermelon or Spicy Pineapple, all made with jalapeño-infused tequila, agave, and lime. Or try Louie’s Margarita Flight of Strawberry Basil, Jalapeño Cucumber, Peach Mango, and Prickly Pear for a great way to sample several delicious, distinct flavors. Never fear, there are also handcrafted cocktails, Mexican beers, and refreshing soft drinks.
One of the restaurant’s best-kept secrets is its spacious outdoor deck overlooking the marsh and the Shave Bridge. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy lunch in the sunshine or unwind at sunset while watching birds, wildlife, and even the occasional alligator in the pond below.
Whether you’re gathering with friends for Taco Tuesday, fueling up after a day at the beach, or simply looking for a fun meal with a view, Cantina Louie delivers a fiesta of flavor every time. Open 11am – 9pm Sunday through Thursday, and 11am – 10pm on Friday and Saturday.
