“Established in 1983, National Travel and Tourism Week is an annual tradition to celebrate the U.S. travel community and travel’s essential role in stimulating economic growth, cultivating vibrant communities, creating quality job opportunities, inspiring new businesses and elevating the quality of life for Americans every day.”
In recognition and support of tourism and hospitality, the City of Fernandina Beach and Nassau County Board of County Commissioners proclaim May 7-13, 2023 as “National Travel and Tourism Week” on Amelia Island and throughout Nassau County.
We are so grateful that YOU, the traveler, have chosen Amelia Island for family reunions, weddings, vacations, meetings and conferences and that you continue coming back to make memories with us. Without you, our restaurants, accommodations, shops and venues wouldn’t thrive as they do thanks to your interest in our island. We know you love it as much as we do!
We would also like to thank all of those working so hard in the hospitality industry. You are the backbone of what makes Amelia Island so special and your stellar cordiality to our island guests doesn’t go unnoticed. Tourism is the economic engine of Nassau County and we couldn’t do it without all of you. Thank you so much!
We would like to recognize our Board and Council members who continue to support the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau and our mission and to acknowledge their longstanding help in all that we strive to do to make this island a great destination.
We couldn’t do anything without the support and generosity of our island friends, neighbors and community as a whole who live this hospitality life with us 24/7/365. Your friendliness towards our island visitors and willingness to welcome them to “your home” year round, is what makes Amelia Island the sought-after haven it has become.
We are all so fortunate to be a part of this industry and contribute in meaningful ways to the community and guests that we serve and love.
As we find ourselves in the final stretch of the year, there’s no better time than now to reflect on your 2023 bucket/resolution list and make those dreams a reality. […]
