Making his Amelia Island Jazz Festival debut, Bill Wharton, known as the Sauce Boss, brings his Down Home Blues & Gumbo Show to the stage.
This one-of-a-kind experience blends high-energy original music, a commanding stage presence, and a live cooking performance. Wharton prepares a pot of gumbo right onstage, stirring the pot while mixing music like cornbread and even singing the recipe as he plays.
By the end of the show, the music gives way to something even more memorable. Wharton serves the gumbo to the audience, inviting everyone to share a meal and a moment of connection. Strangers become friends as they gather for a taste of community that only the Sauce Boss can deliver.
