Amelia Island River Cruise

Enjoy a professionally narrated cruise along the salt marshes, wilderness beaches and historic river banks of Amelia Island. Dolphins, sea turtles, egrets, herons, spoonbills and osprey meld with shrimp boats, luxury yachts and even a Civil War fort! Boats can accommodate 49-80 passengers for two hour scenic cruises.

Backwater Adventure Tour

Members of your group can navigate their own catamaran and discover some of the most historic and scenic parts of Northeast Florida. This two-seater Craigcat is considered a hidden gem and is only offered in a couple of locations on the East coast. Boats can accommodate up to 14 guests for a 3.5-hour tour.

Backwater Fishing

Backwater fishing is possible because of the numerous saltwater estuaries, flats and inlets, all offering a wide variety of light-tackle catching. These four-hour charter boats accommodate four passengers, with supplies and state licenses.

Deep Sea Fishing and Sailing Charters

Four hour sails or fishing tours offer adventurous waters and breathtaking views. Enjoy superb bottom-fishing over sunken wrecks, lime rock ledges or oceanic hard bottoms to catch snapper, mackerel, seabass, grouper and maybe even sharks! For sailing parties, dolphins, sea turtles, manatees, migratory birds and perhaps wild horses off Cumberland Isand can be found. Both types of charters accommodate six passengers, offer coolers with supplies and are manned by seasoned boating professionals.

Kayak or Stand-up Paddleboard Tours

With many options from beginner to expert, any expedition will bring out the nature lover in your guests. Knowledgeable naturalists guide groups of varying sizes through the tidal salt marsh or brackish waterways pointing out wildlife and landmarks.

Horseback Riding Tours

Take an adventurous group on horseback ride on the beach! Saddle up and ride a gentle, well—trained horse while enjoying the sights of the beautiful Amelia Island beaches.

Pedal Past Fort Clinch

Groups can enjoy a bike ride through the beautiful tree canopy of Fort Clinch State Park while learning about the ecosystem and the state parks. A re-enactor Civil War solidier will guide through preserved rooms that have been recreated to model 19th Century Ft. Clinch.

Segway Tours on Omni Amelia Island Resort

Explore the resort by Segway and experience the resort’s natural surrounding as you zip through bends and curves on trails throughout the property. After a full orientation and training session, guests can choose between scenic Intracoastal Waterway sights or views of the Atlantic Ocean based on ability.

Rollin’ Phat Scooters

Rollin’ Phat Scooters are electric scooters that are so much fun, groups will want to explore everything that Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach have to offer. Designed to give riders both comfort and versatility, the scooters are Eco Friendly with an 100% electric motor. With built in cell phone holders, Boss premium bluetooth speakers, it’s easy for groups to fire up a navigation app and explore the island.

Sports Competitions

If your group contains golf enthusiasts, Amelia Island is home to 99 holes of championship golf for play. Or, challenge your attendees putting skills on a number of minature golf courses around the island — from a course featuring waterfalls, trees & ponds (Island Fall Adventure Golf), to night play (Heron’s Cove Adventure Golf) to Links and Drinks at Gregor MacGregor’s Mini Links and Drinks. Best score tournaments, scramble tournaments or a wacky golf competition lets every level compete. Tennis tournaments are great social events and provide a welcoming atmosphere for attendees to connect with one another — check out the city courts or arrange a friendly tournament through Cliff Drysdale at Omni Amelia Island Resort.

Historic Tours

Fernandina Walking Tours

The Amelia Island Museum of History is the first spoken history museum in the state and continues the story-telling tradition with a variety of tours that cater to many interests. Docent led Eight Flags Tours take place daily at the museum and are included in the price of admission. There are also walking tours that take groups up Centre Street, through the Historic District and into the Silk Stocking District introducing them to the many great historical figures who influenced the architecture and business on the island. The island is full of twists and turns between British and Spanish Florida and even pirates and adventurers!

Historic Tours by Van

Take your group on a tour of Fernandina history from the comfort of a climate controlled van while being entertained by knowledgeable and entertaining drivers. Get to know when each of the eight flags dominated the island, and discover some very interesting characters that paved the way and continue to call Amelia Island home.

Ghost Tours

With hundreds of years of history encompassing colorful characters including conquistadors, pirates, witches, Victorian millionaires, and more, Amelia Island is full of discoveries, many best made on foot while exploring the 50-block National Historic District. One way to give your group exploration a special, supernatural spin, is to book one of the island’s popular ghost tours.

Booze & Bites Tour

Tour groups will visit 2 restaurants and enjoy specially made tastings while learning about the history of the restaurant from the owner or chef. Guests will also visit 2 bars and enjoy delicious cocktails made specially for the tour. Between stops, your group will enjoy beautiful downtown Fernandina Beach while hearing a little history of the island. Mixology Tour

Tour groups will visit 4 bars or restaurants to try craft cocktails made by Amelia Island’s best bartenders, while learning about the history of Fernandina Beach. As an added bonus, guests will vote for their “Favorite Bartender,” encouraging friendly competition between bartenders.

Private Downtown Tasting Tours

A custom food tour for your group is designed and specifically catered to your time frame and tastes. Each Culinary Historical Walking Tour group visits four locally-owned destinations where guests enjoy generous tastings, meet the owner, chef or manager and learn the history. Between stops, guests enjoy Amelia Island storytelling provided by our fun and professional tour guides.

The Sprouting Project

“The Sprouting Project” consists of a state-of-the-art aquaponic greenhouse, an expansive organic garden, a large collection of beehives,and a barrel room at the Omni Amelia Island Resort. Why not design a group dinner for a true farm-to-table experience and gain intimate access to what is often referred to as a “Chef’s Playground?”

Eco-Tours

Amelia Shark Tooth Adventures

Create unique grop experiences with conservation eco-tours and surface fossil hunting tours. Tours will teach guests about indigenous species, the surrounding area and the art of surface fossil hunting — especially sharks and sharks’ teeth.

Nature Center — Omni Amelia Island Resort

Join an experienced naturalist on a bike, Segway, kayak, paddleboard or new pedalboard tour discovering birds, turtles, edible plants, night creatures and crabs. The Nature Center is located at Omni Amelia Island Resort and is open daily to resort guests and the public.

Eco Bike Hike

Let your group travel on a beach bike cruiser as they explore hidden gems around the Omni Amelia Island Resort. Guides will identify the native flora, fauna and landmarks. You could even combine an eco bike hike with a kayak adventure for your group for unique fun on land and water.

Impact Experiences

The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island offers social and environmental impact activities that make a lasting and authentic difference. These on-property activities that can be incorporated in the conference agenda during lunch breaks, receptions and coffee breaks — including partnering with the hotel’s culinary team for donation to a local hunger relief organization; assembling school supplies and art materials for donation to students whose academic success is threatened; or helping protect the delicate ecosystem of Amelia Island by planting native sea grass along 13 miles of coastal beaches.
