The Wild Amelia Festival is fun for the entire family, with a free expo, events, nature tours, all designed to showcase and educate participants about the local environment (and the critters that call it home.)

A few of the ways you can experience the island’s wilder side:

  • Eco Expo filled with exhibits from green vendors, nature and conservancy groups
  • Kids’ Niche with interactive booths and a special Passport Program with prizes
  • Nature photography shoot behind the scenes at the Jacksonville Zoo*
  • Eco-tours by foot, bike, boat, golf cart and Segway – some for kids only *
  • Starlab portable planetarium shows
  • Kids’ fishing clinic at Fort Clinch
  • Live animal displays
  • Create a giant shell and sand sculpture on the beach
  • Live music and a silent auction
  • Sunset bird watching*
  • A meditation kayak paddle*
  • Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga*
  • Sunrise movement and meditation
  • Presentation of the winners of the Wild Amelia Nature photography contest
