Amenities:
Just Poor Condition
The course is in poor condition. Many fairways have significant locations that are basically dirt or have a thin veneer of grass. Tight lies.
Tee boxes are in poor condition. Looks like they are going to re-sod them in some areas. I don't understand how the fairways can be in such poor condition. Maybe they should put some sod down in the fairways.
The driving range looks like a large waste bunker. It is beat up badly because of the volume of people and the small size.
If a golf course is not lush and green at this point in the season it's going to be a long summer.
Consider your alternatives before spending your money here.
Mediocre quality for the $$
Golf course has gone waaaay downhill since last played around 3 years ago. It’s $215 per round(if staying at Ritz) for a course quality that’s worth about $50-$75 for anything in the area. Rough lines aren’t cut, vermin burrows around the greens, bunkers aren’t maintained, and greens are inconsistent. I’m not sure what members pay to be a part of “the club” but I’m sure they’re displeased if they have anything to compare it to. One has to ask where does the $$$ go at a place like this.
Build condos on this tact
This tract should be plowed under and condos built! My wife and I went to the course to ask about the condition after reading poor reviews. Staff assured us it was in excellent shape. I paid my $450 for us to play only to discover staff was not truthful. Driving range was dirt, fairways had a lot of grass and weeds. Tee boxes were beat up. The Ritz should be ashamed to be associated with this course. Save your money and play The River course next to the airport. Half price and a much funner tract.
Ick
This place which abuts the Ritz is a disgrace. for $200 my wife and I played 9 holes. The starter was very nice and it was lovely weather. However, I have played municipal golf courses for $15 that put the conditions here to shame. Most of the greens were so full of leaves you could not clean it up. Traps were un-racked everywhere. The greens and fairways were scalped or just plain half dead. The course has a short hole with a tree in the middle of the fairway with a million leaves laying there un-racked. So, this tree is supposed to be what? A feature? ick.
Disappointing and expensive
Played one round with friends. Rented clubs because we didn’t want to schlep ours for one round. The sets weren’t complete. Very old, abused Titleist equipment. The course was in reasonably good shape. The greens were in excellent shape, but the staff was just NOT helpful. . . They seemed very young and just not engaged. . . 🤷🏻♀️
For the $600 we paid for two golfers and two sets of rental clubs, we were extremely disappointed.
