Great food and service!

Great service and great food! Jody was our waiter and went over and above to make sure we were happy. My blackened grouper sandwich didn’t have enough grouper and Jody noticed and corrected it immediately. It was great! My wife had the flounder and it was tasty and well presented. The restaurant has been recently remodeled and is beautiful.

Crab Trap 2.0 is a success!

My husband and I had our first visit to Amelia Island as empty nesters. We had enjoyed eating at the Crab Trap several years ago with our son. It closed down during Covid, and we were eager to try it again. We had heard it was under new ownership and wondered if the food would still be great.
Many things had changed. The restaurant seemed a bit more upscale. Nothing fancy or stuffy, but the decor and furniture was nicer. The menu was also smaller and there were no “sharing entrees” that we had enjoyed before. There was also live entertainment .
My husband and I ordered peel and eat shrimp that seemed to be prepared with Old Bay seasoning. The shrimp was very fresh and it was plenty for 2 people.
We both ordered a scallop with cheesy risotto entree. It was delicious!
Our server was prompt and humorous. He made a drink suggestion for my husband…which he really enjoyed.
We had a wonderful overall experience. We will be returning.

Been there. Average. Overpriced. No reason to return.

We went there after reading reviews. They have a New menu. They do not have cole slaw or baked potatoes. Very small and limited menu. Average food. Waitress was busy but good service. Music by live musician was great, nice environment. Overpriced. A place that you have been to but no reason to return.

Just okay…

The food was decent but overpriced. Service was just okay. They were quick to let us know market prices when asked. Hush puppies were dense, had too much baking soda, and were hard to tear apart. Our neighbors use to rave about this place but the new ownership must have changed the vibes of this restaurant. With so many other options on Amelia Island, this place can be skipped.

Rude and took forever

The award to rudest waiter goes to the guy who served us tonight. Long wait for food, nasty attitude when questioned & charged 20% tip. Many tables seated after us were served before us. The person who got crab legs was given NO utensils to crack them with. He made a show of getting our checks & acted as if he was doing us a favor. Our out of town guests were NOT impressed- neither were we.
