This Was Disappointing!
I really enjoy Tastee's but this evening I ordered 'The Original' on a gluten-free bun ($2.50 upcharge) and all I got was a burger and cheese on a bun. No pickles, lettuce, bun, special sauce, just a burger with cheese on a bun. I hope this is not typical because I've always thought of Tastee's as a good dining option in Fernandina Beach. I'm not going to give up on them, I'll go back - hopefully it doesn't happen again.
Very disappointed ☹️
Very disappointed. Two people and 40 bucks I expected better. We didn't even order drinks. Greasy is an understatement. Fries were not hand cut and not hot either. This will be our last trip for Tasty's.
A shame
Was hoping for a good take-out burger and fries, based on reviews and photos. Instead, we got limp, soggy burgers and fries. My bacon cheeseburger had no discernable bacon or onions, a paper-thin slice of tomato, a single, limp, wet leaf of lettuce. The burger itself was thin and overcooked, with no flavor. The edges were crisp, which was the only good thing about the entire meal. Fries were awful. I hate to write a bad review, but after years of thinking about trying this place out, it was a huge disappointment. One and done.
Tasty's...Not!
Tasty? Not! The $5.95 chili dogs were horrible. The cheese fries were a barely cooked, soggy mess covered with cheese whiz. It wasn't worth it to complain to the teenagers running the place. Save your money. There are plenty of good restaurants in Fernandina Beach!
I Expected Better
Stopped in and due to the hype I expected to be overwhelmed. Instead was just a run-of-the-mill burger. I got much better burgers, onion rings, and cid at Culvers.
