Fun Art Classes

Just because you plan a vacation to the beach doesn’t mean the weather will always cooperate. Julie and Linda saved the day with their fun rainy day activities at Shady Ladies Art Studio. We had two days of rain on our trip 1 pouring and 1 drippy but the resin pour class helped make an otherwise blah day a lot of fun. Art Classes are a great way to have a good time in just a couple of hours and you get to bring hone a memento that is a reminder of all that fun !!

GONE!

I wanted to check-out Shady Ladies Art Gallery, but I guess I waited to long, IT'S Gone! Don't know whether it moved or just closed its doors, but there's a commercial bussiness in this location now.

Presided over by huge old oak tree

This is a small combination workshop/gallery for the Shady Ladies artists. They offer classes as well as conducting an art show every month. Artists from all over are invited to bring their works to hang for a month in the gallery. Each month's exhibition is arranged around a theme, such as trees, birds, the heat. The gallery holds an informal reception once the month's works have been hung and people vote for their favorites. This gallery and the one next to it are under the wings of what may be the second oldest oak tree on the island, with a girth of around 27 feet.
