As a Jacksonville native it's such a treat to explore parts unknown and learn more about this city and its history. Buddy was a fantastic guide and gave us quality instruction and was just a joy to be around.
Great time!
We had a great time doing the eco-tour with Buddy and Russ. buddy had great tidbits of local history and knowledge of the flora and fauna. They are also great conversationalists along with great paddle instructors. They will be downsizing soon and offering a more personal experience on the water. We look forward to booking with them again!
Poor service
My husband and I have rented kayaks and SUPs countless times all over the place. We had a group of 4 and rented 2 kayaks and 2 SUPs. This was the first time we had to personally carry the kayaks/SUPs and equipment about a hundred feet down to the water line and launch ourselves. We were told not to drag the kayak. Every other time, the place has the equipment down by the water, helps you launch and makes sure you’re ok. I don’t know how a parent with a little kid, or someone solo, or with physical limitations on lifting could’ve handled the kayak. The lady behind the desk was a bit abrasive. Didn’t smile once, say please, thank you, and just seemed really unhappy. The guy that hands out the equipment was no different. Kind of barked at you and didn’t smile once. There was also zero check on if we’ve paddled before, know what we’re doing, how to paddle, etc. I will not be returning here in the future and will seek rentals elsewhere.
Beautiful Sunset Tour
My Husband and I did a sunset tour and it was amazing. Buddy and Russel were our guides. They made it so enjoyable. They had all of our equipment ready for us when we arrived. It was high tide so they took us on parts of the marsh that are not accessible in low tide. It was gorgeous. They had a lot of history to share. Very knowledgeable about the area. The chocolate chip cookies when we took a break were delicious. I can't wait to book another tour when my kids are home. Highly recommend.
Kayak trip
Enjoyed the kayak trip. Only negative is we had to carry our kayaks to the dock and back and I am older and was an ordea. I thought the employees would help usl
