Delicious break
What a sweet cafe to stop by for a break, lunch or catching up with friends. They have a shaded patio where you can relax and enjoy some delicious food. We tried some of the Cuban sodas such as Ironbeer and Materva. The family that runs the place is so sweet. Everything we tried was delicious, distinct and not too heavy, perfect for hot day. The pan de lechon was similar to a pulled pork sandwich with a bit of tanginess just right if you're looking for something savory but not heavy. The bread was balanced with crisp and softness. If you love yucca they have classic yuca but also a beef stuffed ball which was delicious, satisfies your fried food craving without weighing you down. The pork empanda we ordered to go and not only was it not oily but still crisp hours later, the perfect snack break. If you're in the area this is just one block off the main strip.
Excellent Cuban sandwiches!
Whoopee! We thought Hola! had closed during Covid times but discovered during a visit to Amelia that they had only relocated. The location is in a quaint home with a charming courtyard area with tables AND the Cuban sandwiches are incredibly delicious!
A mainstay
We go to FB a couple of times a year and Hola is a tradition for us. It's typically our 1st or 2nd stop the Saturday we arrive, usually right after we visit the downtown market. This trip we got food their 3 times including Friday when I got 9 sandwiches (for 3 of us) so we could take a few home. Everything is tops.
Authentic and high quality Cuban food
You order at the counter after pausing in front of delectable homemade pastries. We had the pulled pork sandwich, the ham and cheese croquetas and the maduros. The patio is delightful and our food was brought to us ten minutes later. This establishment is well loved by the locals and now we know why.
Simply the best Cuban sandwich
Wonderful, high-quality Cuban sandwiches and tostones. Try the Midnight sandwich! Quaint atmosphere. Sit on the back patio for an enjoyable and peaceful lunch.
