Amelia River Golf Club is renowned as one of the best conditioned courses in the area. Smooth TifEagle greens, sculpted around a forest of majestic live oaks, sabal palms, southern pines and wax myrtles make it as beautiful to play as it is challenging. The course consists of 18 challenging holes where ball control and accuracy are key to a great round. The course has five sets of tees for players of all skill levels. Lakes and ponds are featured on several holes including the signature island hole, the par three 17th. The round concludes on the 18th hole with a stunning view of the Amelia River.
The Cape Cod-style clubhouse adds warmth to the overall experience at Amelia River. It boasts a casual Grill, the River Café, with a menu that is friendly to both the golfer with a hearty appetite and the visitor who wants a lighter fare. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Nice design
Visiting my Dad in Amelia Island and had some time so I stopped by Amelia River Club to see if they could fit me in next day. Pretty well booked but the guys in the Pro shop were awesome and got me a spot. I checked in next morning and was told to see the Starter, Tom. I’m from Maryland, Tom used to live in MD, and next thing you know we’re best buddies. Great start to the round. Course was in very good condition with the exception of a few greens. Not terrible by any means, but still need some work. Great layout, good pace of play. All in all an enjoyable round. Will definitely play there again.
What a nice place to play
Compared to the Amelia Island Golf Club, this was like playing at Augusta National. At the end of the day it is just a nifty golf course that was fun. The clubhouse folks were welcoming and the fees were just fine for what you got. If we ever go back to the island we will be sure to play here again!
Challenging course
I am happy to have played this track. The starter was very friendly and provided us with valuable dining establishments. The fairways, greens, and tee boxes were in very good shape. My rationale for a 3 star is the landscaping and cart paths need attention. Also, the reviews on Golfshot and GolfNow are a bit too high in my opinion for $100 green fees.
Top Notch Golf Course
Had a great round of golf at Amelia River . The staff was very helpful and attentive . The starter went over every hole with us as this was our first time playing the course . Pace was perfect and lots of challenging holes .
Excellent weekend
Most accommodating staff and really made me feel welcomed. From the golf pro who squeezed me in for a teatime to the excellent food we received. Everyone had great customer service. The course was beautiful. I can’t wait to go back.
