Dickens on Centre - Event Schedule

Join us December 13-15 on Amelia Island for the 5th annual Dickens on Centre holiday festival! Throughout the weekend enjoy holiday and Victorian inspired entertainment on two stages as well as throughout the streets of historic downtown Fernandina Beach. Families will enjoy a plethora of fun including a Kids Zone, visits with St. Nick, holiday shopping, festive food & drink, costumed characters, and plenty of Christmas inspiration. Come Make Memories at Dickens on Centre!

Festival Areas & Activities

Wharf Stage – The main stage area at Front & Centre will feature holiday & Victorian inspired entertainment from local and regional performers!

Kate & Monty Stage – Located in the pocket park next to Amelia Island Coffee, this new space is “home” to two of our Victorian townsfolk as well as additional entertainment.

Tiny Tim’s Kid Zone & St. Nick Photos – Relocated to North 2nd Street (near Crab Trap), Tiny Tim’s Kid Zone includes letter writing to St. Nick as well as visits with the old man himself & photos by Boston Photography. Kids of all ages will enjoy Victorian & holiday inspired games and crafts as well as family-friendly entertainment!

Peddler’s Village & Artist Alley - Shop for holiday gifts at our local stores as well as the vendors along Peddler’s Village (Centre Street) and on Artist Alley (North 2nd Street). Don’t miss gift wrapping by Prince of Peace Lutheran Church to make your holiday shopping a breeze.

Fezziwig’s Courtyard – Now located near the Wharf Stage on the historic train platform by the Welcome Center, Fezziwig’s Courtyard offers beer and wine! Open to the public, Fezziwig’s will provide a great spot to enjoy the Wharf Stage entertainment.  

Dickens After Dark – A Spirited Affair for Adults 21+. Inspired by the ghosts of A Christmas Carol and the spirited veil of the Victorian era, this NEW ticketed program for adults includes one complimentary drink, a ghost tour with the Amelia Island Museum of History, and access to three exclusive areas (Gothic Alley, Ghost Club and Mystic Library) with specialty entertainment and cash bars! Marlin & Barrel will be serving holiday inspired cocktails in Gothic Alley!

Run Like the Dickens, 1-mile sprint
Hold onto your bonnets and top hats during the 2nd annual 1-mile sprint along the shores of Main Beach. Support the Fernandina Beach Middle School AVID program with your fastest sprint on Saturday, December 8th at 8am.
