Take a seat, silence your phone, and prepare to be swept away—no plane ticket to Broadway required (Park Ave. will do just fine!). This heartwarming and cheeky evening celebrates the golden age of movie musicals, with timeless favorites from South Pacific, Guys and Dolls, Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, Sweeney Todd, Kismet, The Music Man, Snow White, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and more.
Starring Victoria Isernia, whose voice has filled opera houses as Carmen and now fills Fernandina’s heart as one of its favorite leading ladies, and John Tibbetts, who brings old-school charm with a wink and a grin, the show blends vintage glamor with pure musical joy.
They’re joined by pianist Joshua Cessna, a rising star who has performed with The Florida Orchestra, Opera Tampa, St. Petersburg Opera, and beyond. A graduate of Lynn Conservatory and the University of Tampa, Joshua now serves as Staff Accompanist and Curator for the Ars Sonora® at UT—and yes, he once shared the stage with Grammy winners Kathleen Battle and Nestor Torres.
It’s a nostalgic journey through the movie musicals of the 1940s, ’50s, and ’60s—plus a few surprises along the way.
