Magellan's Flagship, Trinidad, Sails into Fernandina Harbor

The Nao Trinidad was the flagship of the Magellan-Elcano expedition, leading the first sailing around the world between 1519 and 1522, which was the greatest maritime feat in history. An expedition that circumnavigated the globe for the first time! From November 24th to December 4th, you can tour the Nao Trinidad in at the Oasis Marina at Fernandina Beach Harbor.

Just like the original, the replica Trinidad, built in 2018, has three masts, five decks, four sails and a bowsprit. She hosts 359 sq yd of sails, with the maneuvering of sails and rigging faithful to the nao Trinidad of the 16th century, and more than 1.9 miles of ropes. Tickets are $15.00 for adults, $5.00 for children, and there is a Family Ticket available for $35.00 that includes up to two adults and three children. Children under five are free.
