It has been almost six months since Chef Okan Kizilbayir arrived at Salt restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island after fourteen years of working with Michelin Star Chef Eric Ripert at both Blue at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman as well as Le Bernardin in NYC.

Since his arrival at Salt, Chef has learned about the island, engaged with guests and met with specialty produce suppliers, local fisherman and seafood purveyors. From there, he applied everything he learned from his mentors. Energized by an evolving vision, he designed his own culinary palate of flavors, tastes and presentations to create an entirely new menu, which is transformed daily.

On Monday, October 18th, Chef Okan presents a “Welcome to Salt” Wine Dinner created to showcase Salt’s new menu with Chef sharing his vision for a new era of exceptional fine dining. Each course will be paired with fine wines from both France and California. Reception commences at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.
