Amelia Island Earns Six Flagler Awards for Tourism Marketing Excellence

“Find Your Unwind” print campaign takes top Henry Award among six statewide honors

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. (Sept. 10, 2026) – The Amelia Island Convention and Visitors Bureau (AICVB) earned six honors, including a Henry Award, at VISIT FLORIDA’s 2026 Flagler Awards, recognizing excellence in tourism marketing across the state. Presented Sept. 9 during the Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism in West Palm Beach, the awards included the competition’s top honor in Print Advertising for Amelia Island’s “Find Your Unwind” ads. AICVB also received two Silver Awards and three Bronze Awards spanning public relations, meetings marketing, integrated marketing, mobile marketing and specialty marketing.

“The best destination marketing does more than capture attention. It connects what travelers are seeking with what makes a destination distinctive,” said Gil Langley, president and CEO of the Amelia Island CVB. “Our ‘Find Your Unwind’ campaign was strategically designed to turn the unique character and experiences of Amelia Island into a compelling invitation to visit. Its ability to resonate with today’s traveler is a testament to the strategy and creative thinking behind the campaign. These six awards are a tremendous credit to our Tourist Development Council, marketing team and agency partners and the work they do every day to keep Amelia Island competitive in an increasingly crowded travel marketplace.”

The Henry Award-winning print campaign brought the “Find Your Unwind” platform to life by
positioning the destination as a place to escape the noise and discover a personal version of “unwind.” Featuring expansive photography and minimalist design, the ads captured restorative island experiences ranging from family time on the beach to boating and fishing along Amelia Island’s waterways and marshes. The campaign appeared in national publications including Travel + Leisure, AFAR, Condé Nast Traveler and Garden & Gun, as well as select luxury state and regional publications, reaching a combined circulation of 1.9 million.

In addition to the Henry Award, Amelia Island CVB received Silver Awards for its Midwest influencer efforts (Public Relations & Earned Media) and meetings videos (Travel Trade, Meetings & B2B Marketing). Bronze Awards recognized the broader “Find Your Unwind” campaign (Integrated Marketing Campaign), the Inmar Rich Media Unit (Mobile Marketing) and Amelia Island Dining Month (Specialty Marketing).

Named for Florida tourism pioneer Henry Flagler, the annual Flagler Awards recognize outstanding tourism marketing by destinations, attractions and other travel organizations throughout the state. Celebrating its 26th year in 2026, the competition honors the creativity, innovation and effectiveness of the people and organizations working to strengthen Florida’s position as one of the world’s leading travel destinations.
