Judith Raanan and her daughter Natalie, from Chicago, traveled to Israel to celebrate the 85th birthday of Judith’s mother at Kibbutz Nahal Oz. On October 7, 2023, their lives were shattered when they were kidnapped by Hamas terrorists. After two harrowing weeks in captivity, they became the first to be released from the roughly 240 hostages.
