Renowned Jacksonville artist Jim Draper felt like he needed to add another medium to his repertoire, and spent ten years attending a writers workshop in a dilapidated shantyboat on the Trout River.
The result is his new book, “Shantyboat Stories,” that runs the gamut from southern gothic-inspired short fiction to creative non-fiction retelling of the author’s outdoor adventures.
