Amelia Island is located at Florida's northeastern shore, just 15 miles east of Interstate 95, and is a short, 30-minute drive from Jacksonville International Airport. Two bridges connect the island with the mainland.
From the south
Take A1A north of Jacksonville to the Mayport auto ferry, which traverses the St. Johns River. Or, take A1A north to J. Turner Butler Boulevard, then north on 115 over the Dames Point Bridge. Both options continue on A1A north over Big and Little Talbot Island onto Amelia Island.

American Airlines/American Eagle, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, US Airways, Air Canada, Northwest Airlines and United Airlines are among the carriers that service Jacksonville.
