Island Weather

With abundant sunshine and mild temperatures year round, it's always a perfect time to visit Amelia Island. Each spring, the island awakens to blue skies, breezy days and afternoon showers with highs in the 70s. Summer offers temperatures in the 90s during the day with winds to cool you down. In the evenings, the sun's setting brings even more pleasant temperatures and the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors well into the evening. A constant sea breeze in the autumn brings changes to the island as rainfall decreases and average temperature decline. Winter on Amelia Island is characterized by dry, crisp air and comfortable weather that is just right for walks on the beach, a round or two of golf, spotting wildlife or birds of almost innumerable varieties.
