DESCRIPTION:The annual Dickens Illuminated Procession walking parade kicks off Dickens on Centre\, Thursday\, December 11th! Participation to march in the procession is free. Join us on Centre Street this year for music and fun before processing with your illuminated lanterns or something that shines\, glows or twinkles. Only battery-operated lights and lanterns will be permitted (no open flames or candles). Local food trucks will also be on N 2nd Street with food for purchase. \nPresented by Snyder Air Conditioning\, Plumbing\, and Electric. \nProcession Schedule: \n5:00pm: Music\, food trucks\, and general holiday merriment begins downtown on Centre Street between Front and 2nd Streets. \n6:00pm: Procession participants gather on Centre Street just before the train tracks. \n6:15pm: Procession begins! \nParade Route: South on Front Street\, East on Ash Street\, North on 6th Street\, and West on Centre Street. \n6:45pm: An illuminated finale will end the evening fun over the riverfront!

SUMMARY:Cross the Line Veterans Day 5K Run
DESCRIPTION:The Cross the Line Foundation\, in conjunction with Amelia Island Runners\, will host the Cross the Line Foundation Veterans Day 5K on Saturday\, November 11\, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. in Fernandina Beach\, FL. \nThe out and back course will begin and end in the marina parking lot at the foot of Centre Street (near the Remember Our Fallen Memorial) in Fernandina Beach\, FL.   This will be a timed event. Registrants will receive a race t-shirt.  You must register by November 6\, 2023 in order to receive a t-shirt. \nCome out and show support for our Veterans!
