DESCRIPTION:Amelia Baptist Church is delighted to share our cherished Christmas gift with the community—the 29th annual “An Evening in December 2025!”  \nWe warmly invite everyone\, young and old\, to join us for this special\, FREE\, family-friendly event on Saturday and Sunday\, December 6th and 7th. Come make a timeless memory by immersing yourself in the Biblical nativity story: see the Bethlehem Village—complete with Roman soldiers\, shopkeepers\, the inn\, and furry and feathered friends for petting—will be open from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM both evenings. For a joyful music experience\, find delight inside our Worship Center with an inspirational choral and string quartet presentation and drama. Concerts will be presented both days at 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. \nTo help you plan your visit\, the church is located at 961167 Buccaneer Trail in Fernandina Beach\, situated at the roundabout near Harris Teeter. Parking will be available on the church property on a first-come\, first-served basis\, and we provide designated handicapped parking along with a golf cart available to assist any guests needing help walking from the parking lot to the event area. An Evening in December offers a free family-friendly outdoor experience bringing the first Christmas to life.  Follow your story-telling guide and become personally involved in the story as you take an experiential journey of the Biblical nativity\, presented on 5 stages.  The 27th annual An Evening in December event includes an outdoor drama\, and an inspirational choral presentation in the comfort of our sanctuary.  No visit to the first century would be complete without a visit to our “Bethlehem” village.  Roman soldiers oversee peaceful shopkeepers\, a tax collector\, and an overflowing inn.  There will be furry and feathered friends in the village available for petting as well! \nAmelia Baptist Church\,  in Fernandina\, is excited to offer An Evening in December as our Christmas gift to the community. We invite young and old to join us Saturday and Sunday\, December 2nd and 3rd. Tickets are free\, but reservations are essential. Go online to eveningindecember2023.eventbrite.com. \nThe adventure begins when you park at Peters Point Beachfront Park and take one of our shuttles to the church campus.  No parking is permitting on church property\, apart from guests with disabled parking permits who may park in a designated lot on campus.
