Great little restaurant
Joes was highly recommended and we were not disappointed. Service was excellent along with the food. Lovely inside area to eat and outside area also.
Top Notch!
This restaurant is top notch! Excellent service and food! We enjoyed the spinach, orange and macadamia salad, the bistro salad, the macadamia encrusted duck breast, the braised short ribs, chocolate cake, and bread pudding. What a delight!
Delicious
We were seated promptly at our reservation time. My husband carries a water bottle everywhere he goes, especially in the heat of the summer. He sat the bottle on the table and the hostess proceeded to tell him that no outside drinks are allowed. She then instructed him not to open it. Weird. I’m so glad the food made up for the rough start. Every entree our party had was delicious! We usually go to Joe’s every time we visit Fernandina Beach.
Thrilled we chose to dine at Joe’s Bistro!
Fabulous bistro in an old home. Enjoyed the fried green tomatoes with shrimp starter. The linguine with scallops and shrimp was amazing! The clam broth and heavy use of garlic made the dish truly memorable. The key lime pie was one of the best we’ve ever had. Light, fluffy, and retained a perfect amount of tart. Service was warm and friendly and made us feel like regulars, even though we were on vacation.
Absolutely THE BEST. Worth the flight from California
Joe’s Bistro was a delightful finish to a relaxing and restful vacation on Amelia Island - and what a way to end. From the welcoming and comfortable ambiance (surely that was Joe himself serving us) , flavorful focaccia and olive oil to start up to a definite taste sensation of the bread pudding (with good coffee!), this was a meal to remember. And in the middle, our party of 3 had flavorful steaks and the surprising, well balanced special of redfish and grits with sautéed vegetables. And, these were not your breakfast grits but perfectly cooked, flavorful grits that perfectly matched the redfish and vegetables (squash and zucchini). Definitely another visit here is warranted!!
