The magical spirit of the holidays on Amelia Island is like no other place. Throughout the season, the island is bustling with festive events like the annual Black Friday Pajama Party in downtown Fernandina Beach; or the unveiling of the world’s largest gingerbread pirate ship at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island; and the annual Holiday Light Celebration at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation. 

December kicks off with the annual Holiday Home Tour where visitors can preview downtown historic homes all decked out in their holiday finest. Travel back in time during the Victorian-themed Dickens on Centre festival in mid-December; and round out the year at the New Year's Eve Shrimp Drop on the downtown waterfront.
