Local favorite Bill Ivins brings his artistic eye to the direction\, seamlessly weaving these two pieces together. Accompanying the evening on the iconic Story & Song piano is Amelia Island Opera’s Season 5 Music Director\, Keith Chambers. \nIn The Telephone\, Ben — sung by AIO Co-Founder and Artistic Director John Tibbetts — tries to propose to his girlfriend Lucy\, played by returning company favorite Kyaunnee Richardson. But Lucy’s constant phone chatter keeps getting in the way. With his train departure looming\, Ben is forced to use the very device that’s been disrupting their time together. Full of charm and satire\, this one-act opera is a light-hearted commentary on how technology can complicate even our most heartfelt intentions. \nAfter intermission\, Richardson and Tibbetts are joined by tenor Dylan Elza\, a rising talent whose charisma and vocal agility bring fresh energy to the stage. Together\, they perform Craigslistlieder\, a contemporary song cycle that sets real Craigslist ads to music. Whether you’re a seasoned trail and ultra runner hunting for a new personal best or a 5k road runner looking to push yourself into unfamiliar territory\, this event is designed to bring us all together for one unforgettable day of canopied single track\, food\, and drink. \nFrom the raucous amazement at the winners to the lamp-lit cheers for the final runner\, we at Zero Feet Above Races embrace and celebrate every one of our participants. A wide selection of real food options are provided at the main aid station and meals and beers await everyone at the finish line. \nRegister now and run in the shadows of the historical Fort Clinch while experiencing what trail running is all about. The Fort Clinch Trail Race will feature three different distances: 10k\, 30k\, and 50k. All participants will receive an official race shirt\, as well as a finisher’s award at the end of their race. Annual Florida State Park passes will be awarded to the top male and female in each distance.
