SUMMARY:Mindful Stitching - Shashiko
DESCRIPTION:Learn the ancient Japanese art of Shashiko \nLearn about the principles of mindful stitching. You don’t need any sewing experience or creative background to participate. \nThis class is all about slowing down\, breathing deeply\, and letting your hands find rhythm through the ancient Japanese art of Shashiko — a simple\, meditative stitching technique traditionally used to mend and beautify fabric. \nThis is not about perfection — with each stitch\, you’ll feel yourself unwind while learning something new through the gentle repetition of thread through cloth. In the class we will play with different stitches and sew small pieces of fabric using this slow\, mindful technique. \nAll materials will be provided but feel free to bring something of your own to repair.
