Known especially for their imaginative and groundbreaking treatments of well-known songs\, they received a Grammy nomination for “Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocals”\, the first band ever to receive this honor. \nThe Amelia Island Jazz Festival provides a rich\, diverse cultural offering to the Amelia Island area by exposing thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds to the sounds\, excitement and vitality of great jazz.

Poses will be modified for all levels in this series that will leave students energized and centered. \nA Moonlight Yoga class is offered at 6pm\, Thursday evenings and Sunrise Yoga is offered at 7:30am Saturday mornings. Born in Mayaguez\, Puerto Rico\, Néstor Torres moved to New York City\, where he pursued classical flute studies at Mannes School of Music\, Jazz at Berklee College of Music and Classical and Jazz at New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. During that time he also learned to improvise in the ‘Charanga’ Cuban Dance Music style\, which helped shape and develop Nestor’s melodic and danceable sound. \nHis CD “This Side Of Paradise” won the Latin Grammy award in the Pop instrumental category\, and was presented to him on September 11\, 2001. This great achievement – and its timing – proved to be a major turning point for Torres…. DESCRIPTION:The Williams House offers Yoga on the front lawn of the Inn. Our class incorporates flow sequences and short holds to improve balance\, strength\, and flexibility. We link our movements with our breath to focus on ourselves\, a perfect way to relieve stress. Poses will be modified for all levels in this series that will leave students energized and centered. \nA Moonlight Yoga class is offered at 6pm\, Thursday evenings and Sunrise Yoga is offered at 7:30am Saturday mornings. Guests\, as well as local community members are welcome to join the class. Community members should call 904-277-2328 for reservations. We have yoga mats to use if you don’t have your own. Mats are sanitized after each use.
