Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to learn about Fernandina Beach fossils and how to successfully hunt for them. \nAfter you have found fossils\, bring them back to Fernandina Fossils to have them identified by our experts and labeled with our scientifically accurate ID cards. Take a photo at our aquarium mosaic wall in our Mermaid Courtyard\, discover new ways to display your finds\, and memorialize your favorite fossil finds as meaningful souvenirs in 3d display frames\, memory bottle keychains\, or converted into jewelry with wire wrapping or resin. Artist Rachel Walker intricately\, hand-wraps copper wire around a variety of gemstones\, sharks’ teeth and more.  \nAlso\, at the Market this week is A Visual Theory. Ashley\, a dancer and artist\, designs tie dye apparel with cute\, funky\, and timely sayings. She also uses her quotes on book bags\, book marks\, ball caps\, and more. Look for additional booths of pottery\, apparel\, leatherwork\, water colors\, acrylics\, mixed media\, wood working and more. As before\, there will be no resold goods\, no antiques\, no multi-level marketing\, and all art is made by your local friends and neighbors. \nThe Fernandina Beach Arts Market will be open on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month\, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.\, rain or shine.

We will help you identify up to a dozen fossils and will provide an official ID card for your favorite item. \nTo help you learn how to identify fossils yourself\, we’ll dig into Reanna’s treasure chest of Amelia Island fossils including shark teeth\, pectens\, megafauna and other million-year-old fossils. Reanna will help you learn to distinguish between these different fossils in a fun hands-on activity. \nTickets for the event are $10 or free with a donation (of fossils\, time\, or funds). Register online to reserve a seat or drop by the day of the event.
