From "My Favorite Things" to "Do Re Mi," every memorable moment of this beloved classic comes alive at Amelia Musical Playhouse! Maria Von Trapp (Morgan Perry) dreams of becoming a nun, but doesn't quite fit in with Nonnberg Abbey's rules and orders. The amiable Mother Abbess (Alexandra Lajoux) sends her to be a governess at the stately mansion of Captain Georg Von Trapp (Ozzie Medina), a widower and strict father to SEVEN unruly children. As Georg and his fiancée Elsa (Susie Bledsoe) and best friend Max (Jesse Flach) confront the looming Nazi regime, Maria teaches the family to rediscover love, courage and the sound of music. Jill Dillingham directs with assistant director by Beth Perkins, choreography by Jennifer McCarthy and Sarah Perkins, costumes by Donna Lewis and sets by Gregg Dillingham. Featuring fourteen local children alternating the roles of Liesl (Sarah Perkins/Eden Rewa), Friedrich (Brady Massey / Cooper Village), Louisa (Brooke Little / Annaliese Gluntz), Brigitta (Amanda Rose Powell / Allison Williams), Kurt (Asher Hearne / Collin Galvin), Marta (Caitlyn Terry / Willow Tupper), Gretel (Allie Basile / Morgan King), with Tom Gray as Rolf, Kathy Conner as Frau Schmidt, Ted Haller as Herr Zeller, Mike King as Baron Eberfield, Jeff Goldberg as Franz, Bryan Owens as Admiral von Shreiber, and Deirdre Wallace, Shaeliegh Tupper, Moira Smith, Zadie Venditti, Jean Shreiber, Sheri Van Order and Sherry Rosen as nuns.
