The story of Jekyll and Hyde is one that has been told for generations; a brilliant scientist attempting to save his father from succumbing to madness and the lustful, murderous alter ego he awakens as a result. This June, Amelia Musical Playhouse presents Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse's rock musical adaptation of this classic story. With a talented cast starring Jeff Groden-Thomas as the title role, Nicole Deary as his fiancé Emma Carew, Heather Harding as hopeful prostitute Lucy Harris, Chad Miller as Jekyll's close friend and lawyer John Utterson, Ozzie Medina as Emma's supportive father Sir Danvers Carew and Korey Kristensen as Jekyll's professional and personal rival Simon Stride, this production will not be one you will want to miss. Under the direction of Nick Cooper, with Music Direction by Solomon Johnson, this talented cast will bring you back to Victorian London to find out if Jekyll can overcome the evil growing inside of him. This show also features a talented ensemble of singers and dancers, as well as a live orchestra. This production is licensed through special arrangement with Music Theatre International, New York, NY. Show dates are June 24, 25, 26 at 7:30 pm, and June 27 at 5:00 pm. 🎭These performances will be our first indoors in over a year, and will be very limited seating and socially distanced. 🎫Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students, and are available online through 904tix or through the AMP box office at 904-277-3455. The playhouse is located at 1955 island Walkway, Fernandina Beach. This production is dedicated to the memory of Barret King, who performed many times on our AMP stage and is very fondly remembered by his fAMPily.
